Chennai Metro is a modern transit system managed by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL). It aims to provide seamless connectivity across the city with state-of-the-art infrastructure

Completed in 2019, Phase 1 spans 45 km and connects key areas like Koyambedu, Alandur, and Chennai Airport. It set the stage for transforming public transportation in Chennai.

The major construction of the Chennai Metro is being led by L&T Construction, covering 118.9 km across three corridors. Phase 2 will connect Madhavaram, SIPCOT, Poonamallee, and Sholinganallur.

The Chennai Metro promotes sustainable urban mobility by reducing congestion, saving time, and offering eco-friendly, efficient transit with seamless integration.

Future phases will expand the Chennai Metro, enhancing connectivity citywide. Led by L&T Construction and CMRL, the city is advancing toward a smarter, greener future.
